Dance Class Dress Code

12/04/2019

Having a dress code for dance classes is important for various reasons, the first and foremost is to avoid injury to our dancers.

Ballet Dress Code:

  • Pink Tights
  • Black Leotard

  • Ballet Slippers (any brand will do so long as they fit correctly)

  • Hair in a bun

Tap Dress Code:

  • Tap Shoes (any brand will do so long as they fit correctly)
  • Comfortable but not baggy attire

  • No long pants (pants may not go beyond dancers shoes, this can cause a fall)

  • Hair should to be up or out of face

Jazz Dress Code:

  • Jazz shoes (Capezio Cavas Pirouette II Dance Shoe, Available on Capezio website or Amazon ($15) is my personal favorite but any tan colored jazz slip on boot will work)
  • No long pants (pants may not go beyond dancers shoes, this can cause a fall)

  • Comfortable but not baggy attire

  • Hair should be up or out of face

Hip Hop Dress Code:

  • Tennis Shoes
  • Loose, Comfortable attire

  • Hair may be down

*Absolutely no jeans are permitted for any classes.

Capezio and Bloch have great quality and comfortable dance wear. Highly recommend these dance brands.
